02 / Collaboration
A panda-led world, shaped by tradition.
We invited shadow-puppetry heritage practitioner Wang Haiyan to create original panda-themed works for Balabala. A youthful, playful approach to character design connected traditional craftsmanship with the brand’s aesthetic.

03 / The outcome
Collected by the brand. Open to new possibilities.
Balabala added the works to its collection. The project laid the groundwork for future heritage collaborations and encouraged the practitioner to explore how shadow puppetry could inform cultural products and contemporary design for younger audiences.
